Avalanche Summary

Generally safe avalanche conditions exist with low snow conditions and several extended melt-freeze cycles.

Whenever you plan to travel on snow-covered slopes in the spring, it's a good idea to start early and end early to reduce your risk of wet avalanches. If the snow surface isn't frozen or you are sinking into the snowpack, avoid slopes steeper than around 35 degrees.
