Avalanche Summary

Very strong winds and new snow increase your chances of triggering an avalanche, especially above treeline. You could trigger an avalanche in drifts of new snow on north, northeast, and east-facing slopes. Be on the lookout for cracking and avoid fresh, pillowy, lens-shaped drifts below ridgelines and in cross-loaded terrain features. Safer travel can be found in wind-sheltered terrain.
