Warm, sunny weather continues on Friday, keeping the hazard elevated for wet avalanches. On many slopes, the snowpack is completely moist and cohesionless, which means that small loose avalanches could gain mass as they slide and trigger a larger slab avalanche.
Until the snowpack freezes solidly overnight, the window for supportable snow travel is short or non-existent on many slopes. Expect trapdoor conditions early in the day. If you sink into wet snow above your boot top, it's time to head to low-angle slopes or just out of the mountains altogether.
