Avalanche Summary

The avalanche danger will worsen throughout the day. By the afternoon, you can easily trigger large and dangerous wet avalanches, and you might still be able to trigger a large dry slab avalanche on mid to upper elevation north-facing slopes. The easiest way to reduce your chances of being caught in a dangerous avalanche are to start and end your day early and avoid traveling on large avalanche paths facing northwest, north, or northeast near and above treeline.
