Avalanche Summary
You may be able to trigger an avalanche where firmer slabs of recent snow have drifted into deep pockets in the alpine. These slopes are at high elevations and face north and northeast.
This area has seen less recent snowfall, so pockets where these small avalanches exist are more isolated than in other areas of our mountains. Susceptible slopes will look white and smooth with no rocks poking through or have the smooth lens appearance of a drifted area near ridgelines and in dish-like features.
