Avalanche Summary

A foot of recent snow and strong winds around Cameron Pass and down to Winter Park have us concerned about avalanches in drifted snow on steep north through east-facing slopes near ridgetop. Shooting cracks and collapsing sounds are sure signs that you can trigger an avalanche. Avoid steep headwalls and cross-loaded gullies, and you can greatly reduce your risk of avalanches.
