Highlights

At mid and upper elevations soft slabs 1 to 4 feet deep are resting on slick sliding surfaces HUMAN TRIGGERED AVALANCHES ARE POSSIBLE. Yesterday during avalanche reduction efforts at the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort some of these slabs were triggered as patrolman approached the starting zones. One was skier triggered by a ski patrolman after explosives failed to pull out the slab. THESE AVALANCHES ARE DANGEROUS as they are propagating and running far & fast.
