Highlights
TRAVEL IN AVALANCHE TERRAIN AT THE MID AND UPPER ELEVATIONS IS NOT RECOMMENDED TODAY. Strong south to west winds have formed new soft slabs up to three feet in depth in mid and upper elevation starting zones. These slabs lie upon slick crusts and weak layers of faceted snow. Yesterday numerous pockets of slab one to three feet in depth were easily triggered. Larger events are likely today. Natural activety is likely. At low elavations pockets of slab to one foot in depth could be triggered in steep wind loaded starting zones, road cuts and steep banks.
