Avalanche Summary

An Avalanche Warning is in effect for the northwest San Juan Mountains. The warning includes the Uncompahgre Wilderness through the Sneffels Range to Ophir. Very dangerous avalanche conditions developed during the day Wednesday and will last through Thursday. Natural and human-triggered avalanches are very likely. Travel in avalanche terrain is not recommended during this time period.
