Highlights

The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE today. Old weaknesses persist near the base of the snowpack. In steep avalanche terrain the possibility continues to trigger dangerous hard slab avalanches in limited but hard to predict areas. The triggering of these slabs will likely require larger loads such as snowmobiles or groups of riders or skiers however the presence of one person on a thin, weak point on the slope could also cause its failure.
