Highlights

The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE. Additional new snow will begin to add an additional load to old hard slabs up to two feet in depth that lie upon a base of weak, faceted snow. With this additional load these old slabs could be triggered on steep avalanche prone slopes and not necessarily by the first rider on the slope but whenever the weak, or "trigger point" is found. This point could be high or low on a slope and is very difficult to predict.
