Highlights
The general avalanche hazard is CONSIDERABLE today. DANGEROUS surface slabs one to three in depth lie upon a very weak unstable layer of faceted snow. Natural activity is possible and human triggered avalanches are likely in steep wind loaded avalanche prone terrain. Beware that recent warming has hardened the snow surface which may allow users to venture further into the avalanche path before triggering the slide. Yesterday a slide was skier triggered on an East facing slope on Two Oceans Peak.
