You could trigger a large and dangerous avalanche on many slopes facing the northern half of the compass, especially near and above treeline. In large, high-elevation avalanche paths, any avalanche you trigger might break all the way to weak layers near the ground, bringing the whole snowpack down the mountain. Conservative decision-making is essential to avoid avalanches. Avoid traveling on or directly under steep slopes facing the aspects of concern. Identify and avoid steep slopes on the lee sides of ridgelines where lots of wind-drifted snow accumulated.
