Avalanche Summary

Watch for stiff, hollow-sounding wind-drifts on steep slopes facing the east half of the compass. These are the few slopes where you might be able to trigger a small avalanche. Keep in mind that even a small avalanche can knock you over and take you for a dangerous ride. Identify and avoid wind-drifted terrain to decrease your chances of being caught in a small avalanche.
