Avalanche Summary
Most slopes are safe from avalanches. This is mostly due to the snowpack being weak snow from top to bottom. The few places where you can trigger a potentially dangerous slab avalanche are slopes with wind-drifted snow above a terrain trap such as a creek or a cliff. If you notice cracking in the snow or the snow feels hard and hollow under your feet or machine you should avoid traveling on steep slopes.
