Avalanche Summary
Generally safe avalanche conditions exist. You may still be able to trigger a small avalanche on wind-drifted terrain features on upper-elevation slopes near ridgelines or on sunny and lower-elevation slopes where you encounter wet surface conditions. Use caution in extreme terrain, where even a small slide could knock you over and take you for a dangerous tumble.
On Wednesday, expect avalanche danger to rise, as an upslope storm brings significant snowfall to the Sangre de Cristo Mountains.
