Avalanche Summary

Avalanche conditions are generally safe but you still need to monitor the snow for changes. Safe travel on Friday will require a supportable snowpack with firm underlying crusts. If you find that you are sinking into the snowpack, move to slopes with a more supportive snowpack or call it a day.

Periods of intense sunshine or periods of heavy rainfall can result in deteriorating avalanche conditions.

Avoid traveling under large, sagging cornices. Over the past week, cornices falling onto steep slopes resulted in a few large avalanches.
