Avalanche Activity

Increase in avalanche danger as a consequence of the precipitation.

The fresh snow as well as the wind slabs represent the main danger. Medium-sized natural avalanches are possible as the day progresses. The avalanche prone locations are to be found in particular at the base of rock walls and behind abrupt changes in the terrain and adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls. Avalanches can be released by large loads.

Snowpack Structure

As a consequence of new snow and wind, wind slabs will form in the course of the day. Weak layers exist in the old snowpack. In some places a little snow is lying.

Tendency

In some localities light precipitation.
