Forecast Snow Stability: The limited old snowpack will remain generally stable. During the late morning and afternoon some fresh windslab will be deposited in sheltered areas, mainly on West through North to East aspects above 1000 metres, but accumulations are not expected to be significant. Wet snow instabilities may develop during the late morning and afternoon as the freezing level rises and precipitation turns increasingly to rain. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: Through the evening winds will be light South-South-Easterly, then during the early morning will back and become strong East-South-Easterly before veering South-Westerly during the afternoon. The freezing level will be around 750 metres overnight, rising during the day to around the summits. Some showers during the later morning and afternoon; falling as snow above 900 metres at first, later above 1200 metres. Observed Weather Influences: It was a dry day, with very light winds. The freezing level was around 1000 metres, but much of the ground remained frozen. ObservedSnowStability: The limited old snowpack is frozen and stable. There is a covering of fairly recent snowfall above 900 metres, but accumulations are not significant. The avalanche hazard is Low.
