Avalanche Activity

Moderate danger of moist avalanches will prevail.

The weather will be warm. Ground avalanches are possible. Natural avalanches are to be expected. Such avalanche prone locations are to be found in particular in gullies and bowls in northwest to north to northwest facing aspects above approximately 1600 m and on very steep shady slopes. Dolomites: Moderate, level 2. Prealps: Low, level 1. Backcountry tours should be concluded early.

Snowpack Structure

Sunshine and high temperatures will give rise to gradual moistening of the snowpack over a wide area. The fresh snow and the wind slabs are bonding poorly with the old snowpack.

Tendency

Afternoon: The danger of natural avalanches will increase but remain within the current danger level.
