Expect to find developing wind drifts on a variety of aspects at the mid and upper elevations. The gusty northwest winds will wreak havoc with the low density snow. These drifts will get larger as the day grows on and will be sensitive to human weight. Look for rounded drifts to the lee of ridgelines and cross-loaded into gullies and around rocky outcrops. By early evening, drifts may be up to a foot deep or more.
