Avalanche Activity

Moderate avalanche danger will still be encountered. Moist and wet avalanches are the main danger.

On Thursday it will be clear at times. Small and, in isolated cases, medium-sized avalanches are possible. This applies in particular in case of a large load. The spring-like weather conditions will give rise to increasing softening of the snowpack. In particular on very steep sunny slopes small and medium-sized moist and wet avalanches are possible as a consequence of warming during the day. Avalanches can be released by a single winter sport participant.

Snowpack Structure

The weather conditions will give rise to softening of the snowpack. This applies in particular below approximately 2000 m.
