Forecast Snow Stability: The existing snowpack will be well bonded and stable throughout. Isolated deposits of fresh moderately bonded windslab will develop on North-West to North-East aspects above 950 metres, mainly during the afternoon. These deposits are not expected to gain significant depth and will be confined to wind sheltered areas such as gully tops and coire rims. At lower elevations a gradual thaw will continue. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: Light showers will initially be rain at all levels turning to snow above 950 metres by morning and becoming more frequent in the afternoon. The freezing level will be around 1150 metres overnight dropping to around 1000 metres during the day. Very strong South-South-Easterly winds will gradually decrease in strength to light by morning then veer Southerly and gradually increase to moderate. Observed Weather Influences: Early morning showers fell as rain at all levels then cleared to give a mainly dry day. Showers returned towards the end of the afternoon. The freezing level was above the summits all day with strong Southerly winds. ObservedSnowStability: The snowpack is well bonded and stable throughout. A very gradual thaw continues at all levels. Snow cover is now patchy below 800 metres with much better cover at higher elevations. The avalanche hazard is Low.
