A clear night will be followed in the early morning by favourable avalanche conditions. As the day progresses as a consequence of warming during the day and solar radiation there will be only a slight increase in the danger of gliding avalanches and moist snow slides. Moist avalanches can sometimes be released by people, but they will be small in most cases. The avalanche prone locations are to be found in particular on extremely steep southeast, south and west facing slopes below approximately 2400 m and in steep rocky terrain.

Sunny slopes as well as low altitudes: The surface of the snowpack will freeze to form a strong crust and will soften during the day. Shady slopes above approximately 2000 m: The surface of the snowpack will freeze to form a strong crust and will hardly soften at all. Above approximately 2000 m there are 100 to 200 cm of snow. At high altitudes and in high Alpine regions snow depths vary greatly, depending on the infuence of the wind.

The conditions remain spring-like. The danger of moist avalanches will already be elevated in the early morning.
