Temporary increase in avalanche danger as a consequence of the new snow.
Temporary increase in avalanche danger as a consequence of the new snow.
The new snow can be released easily, or, in isolated cases, naturally in particular on steep shady slopes above approximately 2200 m. In particular at intermediate and high altitudes and on steep shady slopes more frequent small and medium-sized avalanches are possible as a consequence of new snow and wind. As a consequence of the precipitation the avalanche prone locations will become more prevalent as the day progresses.
The old snowpack will be generally moist. The new snow is bonding only slowly with the old snowpack. The new snow will be deposited on a weakly bonded old snowpack on very steep shady slopes above approximately 2700 m.
The avalanche danger will increase during the day.
