In sheltered areas at higher elevations, pockets of wind-loaded snow sit atop a weak snowpack. Exposed areas have been wind scoured.
At treeline, the height of snow ranges from 40 to 70 cm. As you descend to lower elevations, snow depths decrease significantly.
The snowpack at all elevations is very shallow and contains many potential hazards just beneath the snow surface.

Cloud clearing throughout the day, trace amounts of new snow expected in the morning, southwest alpine wind 40 to 70 km/h, treeline temperature -6°C.

A mix of sun and cloud with no new snow expected, southwest alpine wind 40 to 60 km/h, treeline temperature -2°C.
Tuesday
Increasing cloud throughout the day, up to 5 cm of new snow expected, southwest alpine wind 40 to 60 km/h, freezing level rising to 1800 m.
