Chic-Choc Mountains.
The snow is back! Pay attention to lee areas where snow accumulations will be more important. The ground remains close under this fresh snow, and natural traps may surprise you. This storm will bring different amount of snow, depending on where you are in Gaspésie. By filling out a MIN, you are helping us to get additional data!

No new avalanche activity has been observed or reported. Please share your observations at [email protected], or with the Mountain Information Network.
On Wednesday morning, 15 to 25 cm of snow, more in lee areas, could cover the thick refreezing crust. Despite the small amount of snow received in the last 24 hours, this crust remains an ideal bed surface. 10 to 15 cm of snow will be added to this layer during the day. Under this fresh snow, the ground and its natural dangers (stumps, fallen trees, rocks) are still very close and these traps, although not visible, could surprise you during your descent.
