Glacier.
A widespread surface crust is making travel challenging across most terrain. The best conditions are on high, north-facing aspects. Plan accordingly, use caution, and allow extra time for your descent.
There has been no natural or rider triggered avalanche activity in the last few days in the park.
Neighbours are reporting pin wheeling off of steep, rocky, solar aspects and the occasional natural cornice release.
Surface hoar is currently developing on the snow surface, with the largest crystals observed at treeline. A breakable surface crust is present on most aspects, except for high-elevation north-facing alpine slopes.
The mid and lower snowpacks are generally well settled and strong. A thin surface hoar layer exists approximately 1 m below the surface; it has shown no recent reactivity and continues to break down.
A stable weather pattern will persist for the forecast period. Expect cool temps and no new snow.
