As snowfall rates and wind increase, fresh slabs will begin to form on leeward slopes. These avalanches will be easy to trigger by the end of the day. A wind slab avalanche could break into buried November weak layers, propagating wider and deeper than expected. As the storm moves in, pay attention to where the wind is moving snow and avoid those areas if fresh wind deposits lie on a steep slope.
