Snowpack Summary

There is a generalized temperature crust at all elevations and on all slopes. The rest of the snowpack consists of a superposition of facets and crusts.

Last week's strong to extreme winds had a major impact on the alpine and treeline. The southern and western slopes are largely free of snow.

Synopsis: Temperatures will drop back below freezing on Wednesday and should remain there for the rest of the week. No precipitation expected, but sunny skies.

Tuesday evening and night: Clearing. 1 to 2 mm of rain. Wind west, 20 to 30 km. Low 0.

Wednesday: Clearing. Wind northwest 10 to 30 km. High -2.

Thursday: Mostly cloudy. Wind north, 10 to 20 km/h. High -4.
