Forecast Snow Stability: In general the snowpack will remain well bonded and stable throughout and be most widespread above 1000 metres around coire back walls, ridge flanks and the plateau. Isolated accumulations of soft stable snow will linger on North to East aspects above 1000 metres. The avalanche hazard will be Low.
Snowpack Structure
Forecast Weather Influences: Gale force South-Westerly winds will increase to storm force during the day. Dry conditions are expected throughout the forecast period. The freezing level will be above the summits from the early part of the night onwards. Observed Weather Influences: A dry day with gale force Westerly winds. The midday freezing level was around 1100 metres. ObservedSnowStability: Isolated, shallow accumulations of soft well bonded snow remain on North to East aspects above 1000 metres. Elsewhere the old stable snowpack is firm throughout and most widespread above 1000 metres around coire back walls, ridge flanks and the plateau. The avalanche hazard is Low.
