Highlights

In all aspects a favourable avalanche situation will prevail.

Tendency

The avalanche danger will persist.

Avalanche Activity

In all aspects a favourable avalanche situation will prevail.

As the temperature drops there will be an additional decrease in the danger of moist avalanches. On very steep slopes and on extreme slopes only isolated mostly small loose snow avalanches are possible as a consequence of warming during the day and solar radiation. Weak layers in the old snowpack can be released in very isolated cases. This applies on very steep north facing slopes above approximately 2400 m.

Snowpack Structure

Less snow than usual is lying. On steep sunny slopes below approximately 2400 m from a snow sport perspective, in most cases insufficient snow is lying. The new snow of last week has settled to a large extent in all aspects and in all altitude zones. The snowpack will be quite well bonded. In the last two days hardly any more avalanches were reported. Faceted weak layers exist in the snowpack in particular on north, northeast and northwest facing slopes.
