Soldier & Wood River Valley Mtns

Large avalanches are unlikely. Small, natural or human-triggered wet snow avalanches are possible where the snowpack becomes a sloppy mess.  

The snowpack is generally stable, and triggering a large avalanche is unlikely. If I was "avalanche hunting" in this zone today, where would I have the best chances of finding trouble?

WET LOOSE AVALANCHES: The potential for small wet slides will increase during the day. They will be most likely on very steep (approaching 40 degrees), wind-sheltered slopes this afternoon and evening. Given today's very warm temperatures and last night's light freeze, both shady and sunny aspects could become a sloppy mess. If you are sinking into a wet, unsupportable snowpack: steer clear of steep consequential terrain, and don't linger below large avalanche paths.

WIND SLABS:  You could encounter small, weathered wind slabs in the western half of this zone from Dollarhide Summit to the Soldier Mountains. Most of the drifts have bonded to the surfaces beneath them, but there's an outside chance you could trigger something large enough to knock you over in very steep (approaching or over 40 degrees), exposed terrain.
