Avalanche danger
Highlights
There is currently very little avalanche danger on the Skyline right now. There just isn't enough snow to cause much concern yet.
Snow and Weather
Current Conditions: Snow conditions are shallow. There's really not enough to do any serious winter recreation. We did squeak out 3 inches of new snow over the last 24 hours. There is light snowfall as of 6am. Total depths range from 4 to 8 inches across the range. Temperatures have been seasonable this week in the teens and 20s. Wind has been generally light to moderate. It is almost calm this morning as it shifts around and flows from the north.
Mountain Weather: A minor storm continues to move through today. Anticipate clouds and periods of light snow. I'm not anticipating much accumulation out of this. We might see a trace to a couple of inches. Temperatures will get into the low to mid 20s. Wind will be light to moderate in speed from the north or perhaps just a hint from the northeast. The next chance for snow is Friday/Saturday but I fear this whole system is going to stay a little too far to our north for large snow amounts.
