Highlights

Low avalanche danger will be encountered over a wide area.

Avalanche Activity

Low avalanche danger will be encountered over a wide area.

Fresh wind slabs are small and can only be released in isolated cases. Such avalanche prone locations are to be found on very steep shady slopes at high altitudes and in high Alpine regions and adjacent to ridgelines. In the regions exposed to heavier precipitation small moist loose snow avalanches are possible. Isolated mostly small gliding avalanches are possible on steep grassy slopes.

Snowpack Structure

5 to 15 cm of snow has fallen since Saturday. The wind was strong in some regions. In all regions only a small amount of snow is lying for the time of year. At low and intermediate altitudes from a snow sport perspective, in most cases insufficient snow is lying.

Tendency

Low avalanche danger will persist.
