Gale force winds, South-West backing South-South-West late morning. Observed Weather Influences: A mild day with the freezing levels over the summits. Often cloudy around the tops with very light drizzle at times. Winds, strong throughout from the West-South-West. ObservedSnowStability: The patchy snow cover is thawing at all levels with the majority of remaining snow now soft but well consolidated. There is little snow below 900 metres with largest patches found above this level on North to East aspects. The avalanche hazard is Low.
