Forecast Snow Stability: Localised accumulations of poorly bonded windslab will be present on East, though South to South-West aspects above 950 metres. Steep slopes, gully tops and corrie rims will be most affected. Later in the day, accumulations of unstable windslab will begin to develop below coire rims on North-West to North-East aspects due to redistributed snow. The avalanche hazard will be Moderate.

Forecast Weather Influences: A dry day with light North-Easterly winds gradually veering to become Southerly, increasing to fresh by the day of the day. It will remain cool with the freezing level fluctuating at around 600 metres. Observed Weather Influences: A calm and dry day with very light winds from the North-West. The initial 600 metre freezing level gradually rose to 800 metres later in the day. ObservedSnowStability: Localised areas of shallow poorly bonded windslab exist above 950 metres on East through South to South-West aspects. Areas most affected are on steep slopes especially around coire rims and gully tops. Elsewhere, unconsolidated snow overlies the firm and stable old snowpack. The avalanche hazard is Moderate.
