Forecast Snow Stability: The snowpack will soften but remain generally well bonded and stable. Some snow loss at lower levels is expected but cover will remain reasonable above 800 metres. Any new snowfall will be inconsequential. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: The freezing level will rise above the summits overnight before dropping during the afternoon to around 900 metres or so. Very light snowfall is expected towards the end of this period. Winds will become gale force from the South-East in the afternoon. Observed Weather Influences: A clear and sunny day. Winds were mainly fresh from the West. ObservedSnowStability: The snowpack is well bonded and firm only softening where exposed to the sun. There is snow on most aspects above 800 metres with greatest amounts on North through East to South-East aspects. Large cornices are above many of these aspects. The avalanche hazard is Low.
