Forecast Snow Stability: New localised wind slab accumulations will develop in sheltered terrain mainly on North-East through South-East to Southerly aspects above 850 metres. Greatest hazard will be found around gully tops and corrie rims where new accumulations will achieve depth over older snow ice. Occasional pockets will also be found at lower levels with old snow firm and icy. Unstable cornices will develop during the day. The avalanche hazard will be Moderate.

Forecast Weather Influences: The freezing level will drop and remain sub 700 metres during the day. This will be also be accompanied by snowfall to lower levels. Winds will be strong throughout, West-North-West around dawn but otherwise North-Westerly. Observed Weather Influences: A mild night with the freezing level dropping to around 900 metres by the afternoon. Becoming cloudier with light rain in the afternoon. Strong West-South-West winds eased during the day. ObservedSnowStability: The patchy snow cover softened slightly overnight but remains well bonded. Largest areas are found on higher mountain plateaus and on North-West, through North to East aspects above 850 metres. Stability of old semi collapsed cornices remains poor. The avalanche hazard is Low.
