V Jeseníkách v 1300 m/m leží okolo 60 cm sněhu, na hřebeni hor do 20 cm. Nová sněhová vrstva cca 20 cm je uložena na firnu. Kde se nachází kritická vrstva. Zde muže dojít k uvolnění deskových lavin po dodatečném zatížení. V Jeseníkách platí 2 lavinový stupeň.
