Forecast Snow Stability: Little change is expected with the snowpack, generally firm and stable. Isolated and shallow areas of unstable windslab will be present in very sheltered locations mainly on South-West through West to North aspects above 800 metres. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: Gale force Easterly winds overnight, easing slightly during the day. It will be mainly dry with a freezing level around 500 metres. Observed Weather Influences: Gale force Easterly winds and some very light precipitation falling as snow above 650 metres. The freezing level was around 750 metres. ObservedSnowStability: The snowpack is generally firm and stable. Isolated and shallow areas of poorly bonded windslab are present in very sheltered areas mainly on South-West through West to North aspects above 800 metres. Debris from a small slab avalanche observed on a North aspect at 1000 metres. The avalanche hazard is Low.
