Forecast Snow Stability: Snowpack instabilities will continue to slowly consolidate in the strengthening variable winds. However, some pockets of moderately bonded windslab will still persist in some steep wind sheltered locations and wind redistribution forming new shallow deposits of poorly bonded windslab. Most affected locations will be sheltered gullies, steep slopes and coire rims with a W through N to E aspects above 850m. Fragile cornices may exist above similar aspects. The avalanche hazard will be Moderate.

Forecast Weather Influences: Overnight, cold conditions will give a frost at all levels with the freezing around 200 metres rising to 700 metres by the end of the day. Mainly dry with South-Easterly winds becoming strong Tuesday night with gales developing through the day. Observed Weather Influences: After a cold night and a dusting of overnight snow it dawned bright and clear with stunning views, a prefect winters day. The freezing level was around 200 metres, winds were moderate North-Westerly at first then eased and veered to the North-East and it was dry and eventually quite calm . ObservedSnowStability: Some of the snowpack instabilities have partially consolidated however, some pockets of poorly bonded windslab still persist in steep wind sheltered locations. Areas mostly affected are sheltered gullies, steep slopes and coire rims with a North-West through East to South-Easterly aspects above 850 metres. The avalanche hazard is Moderate.
