Little snow will fall on Thursday. The wind will be moderate at times. As a consequence of new snow and a light to moderate wind from westerly directions, small wind slabs will form from late morning. These can in isolated cases be released by people. The avalanche prone locations are to be found in particular on very steep slopes. Restraint should be exercised because avalanches can sweep people along and give rise to falls.
10 to 20 cm of snow will fall above approximately 2000 m. The old snowpack will be in most cases well bonded. At low and intermediate altitudes only a little snow is lying. Snow depths vary greatly at high altitudes and in high Alpine regions, depending on the infuence of the wind.
