- Above 1,900 m
Wet loose snow avalanches and wet slab avalanches are the main danger.
Wet loose snow avalanches and wet slab avalanches are the main danger.
Above approximately 1900 m small and medium-sized moist and wet avalanches are possible. The avalanche prone locations for wet avalanches are to be found in particular on wind-loaded slopes, and in gullies and bowls.
Below approximately 1900 m hardly any snow is lying. Above approximately 1900 m the snow is moist. The rain will give rise to rapid and thorough wetting of the old snowpack. Old wind slabs are to be found in particular in gullies and bowls. On steep north, northwest and northeast facing slopes the avalanche prone locations are more prevalent.
