Avalanche Problems
Persistent Slabs
A skier remote triggered slide today, size 2.5, in the Bow Summit area (photo on the mountain conditions report) indicates that despite the trend to improved snowpack stability, this layer is still touchy if you hit the right spot.
Aspects: All aspects.
Elevations: Alpine, Treeline.
Likelihood: Likely
Expected Size: 2 - 3
Wind Slabs
You can still see the evidence from the natural avalanche cycle from wind transported snow last week. Winds have tapered, but slabs my linger on steep lee features and are a little more stubborn to trigger.
Aspects: All aspects.
Elevations: Alpine, Treeline.
Likelihood: Possible - Likely
Expected Size: 2 - 3
