Snowpack Summary
This morning had a good solid refreeze which helped to lock everything in place. While air temps stayed below zero, the sun is starting to have some heat. We are finding a 1cm sun crust up to 2000m on S-W aspects We haven't had any snow for a long time, and as such we've seen very little change to our snowpack as a whole. Windslabs are still widespread in most areas and remain our biggest avalanche problem.Â
Terrain and Travel
- Avoid exposure to steep, sun exposed slopes, especially when the solar radiation is strong.
