Another small storm is forecast to bring snow to the upper elevations during the early part of the week of October 8-14, with clearing skies and continued cool temperatures later in the week.

Snowpack Summary

Several autumn snow storms have deposited the base of this winter's snowpack at high elevations in the Rockies. Expect this snow to remain on all aspects above 2500m, with pockets of wind slab and fragile cornices starting to appear on ridge crests and leeward areas. Be wary of unstable snow on steep, high elevation glaciers or gullies.
