In some high alpine areas there is enough snow for small avalanches to occur.
The snowpack in the alpine is starting to increase and some alpine areas have enough snow for avalanches to occur. Wind loaded slopes, and steep narrow gullies are the highest concern.
Occasional reports of natural avalanches up to size 1.5 in steep alpine terrain have been observed during strong wind events.
Steep gullies and wind loaded slopes in higher alpine areas may have enough snow to avalanche. Watch for small wind slabs in these areas.
