Waterton Lakes, Waterton.
The main problem will be surface instabilities as the PWL should remain bridged by crust. The best skiing will be found on polar aspects where dry snow can still be found.
No new avalanche observations, however limited field work this week.
A few cm's of new snow overlies surface crust on all solar aspects. Polar aspects may still have up to 20cm of settling surface snow over an old crust. Generally the lower snowpack is well settled with the January drought layer down 50-130cm and a total tree line snowpack depth of 130-200cm
A small storm on tap for the weekend. Some light precip expected for Saturday evening. See photo for a more detailed 3-day forecast.
