Highlights
The general avalanche hazard is LOW in the morning hours at upper elevations where freezing did occur and MODERATE at mid and low elevations where freezing did not occur. The hazard will increase to CONDIDERABLE this afternoon at all elevations as temperatures rise to the forties, added with the expected arrival of rain at lower elevations and a rain/snow mix at higher elevations. Wet loose and wet slab avalanches could be triggered today by backcountry users on steep snow covered terrain.
